Fabio Gigante

Fabio Gigante was born in Novara (Italy) on the July 13^th 1962. He is a professional numismatist and joined the family firm in 1985; the business was opened in Varese by his mother Lucia Tabanelli in 1967; it was she who taught him to love coins. In 1992 he wrote and published the GIGANTE catalogue, initially dedicated exclusively to Italian decimal coins and later to the whole range of contemporary Italian coinage. He collaborates with the most important Italian periodicals in the field and is the numismatic consultant for important organisations. A founding partner of the NIP, he has been re-elected as a committee member of this Association several times.
