Umberto Moruzzi

Umberto Moruzzi was born in Rome on August 2^nd 1958. He has been a professional numismatist since 1980 and is a founding partner of the NIP (Professional Italian Numismatists). The numismatic dynasty was founded in the late 1960s by Nello Moruzzi, Umberto’s father, who was then the partner of another numismatist: Federico Bartoli. Umberto Moruzzi mamaged the business until 1980; together with his sister Loredana he re-named the business Moruzzi Numismatica. As a journalist he occasionally writes for the newspaper "Il Tempo", the periodical "La Gazzetta del Antiquariato"and "Bloomberg". He is an expert for the Rome Chamber of Commerce, his particular speciality is ancient Greek, Roman and Italian coins.
